Kids Fitness Classes

Kids Yoga (6-11 Years)

This is a class designed to teach children strength, balance and flexibility through songs and games.

Saturday    10:15-11:00am

Kid Fit (5-12 Years)

This class will help kids stay healthy and active by using circuit training. Kids will work their muscles out along with getting their heart rate up through cardio activities.

Saturday     9:15 - 10:00am

Kids Zumba (6-12 Years)

Kids will dance their way to a fitter body with this exciting class that incorporates unique Latin moves and rhythms.

Friday     4:30-5:10pm


Martial Arts

United Tae Kwon Do

Develop a non-aggressive method of self-defense, self-discipline and self-control. The study of Tae Kwon Do enables the participant to build the skills necessary to balance spirit,mind and body. Uniforms are required and can be purchased after the first class.  Ages 7 and up only. 

Wednesdays and Fridays

Wednesdays  6:05 - 8:05 p.m.   Children and Adults

Fridays 6:15 - 8:15 p.m.    Children and Adults

 

 Fees:

2 days/week for 12 weeks  Members $195 / Non-Members $205

Family rate:  10% discount for each additional family member

Aikido

Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of them or to throw them away from you. It is not a static art, but places great emphasis on motion and the dynamics of movement. Aikido is performed by blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on.

Monday/Wednesday -  3:45 - 4:45pm - Children 6-15
Saturday - 10:30-12:30pm - Adults

Fee: Members - $60 / Non-Members - $92


Music Lessons

Youth Beginner Piano/Guitar and/or Drum Lessons (5-12 yrs old)

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION! New music programming at the YMCA brings you beginner piano, guitar and drum lessons. Each lesson will progress in 1/2 hour intervals and take place at the Central Lake YMCA.  Scheduling of private lessons will be through Program Director Lauren Jochem

  $100 Member/ $150 Non-member - (8 weeks)
